OS X El Capitan Status Update
· Dan
Today is the day! We’re excited to see OS X El Capitan launch today, and know that lots of you are eager to get started with the great new OS X release. To help you get ready for the upgrade, we just wanted to give a quick status update on each of our apps.
RapidWeaver
RapidWeaver 6.3.4 is ready, and there’s been some important third-party plugin updates for El Capitan too. So, use the Check for Updates option on the RapidWeaver menu to get all the latest releases.
We’ve also re-issued RapidWeaver 5.4.1 to ensure that any new installations of RapidWeaver 5.4.1 meet the enhanced Gatekeeper requirements in OS X El Capitan. We’re focused on RapidWeaver 6 and beyond - and this means there are no further changes planned for any earlier releases. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to RapidWeaver 6 if you haven’t already.
Ember
We’ve been tracking an issue in Ember which would cause thumbnails to disappear when syncing between OS X Yosemite and OS X El Capitan, and we’re happy to report we’ve (just today) finally found the root cause. We’ll be finishing work on a fix in the next few days, and get an update out as quickly as possible - if you’re interested in testing a beta build with a fix, please check this forum thread! If you’re using the Mac App Store version we apologise if things take a little longer to appear - we’ll be submitting the Mac App Store update to Ember at the same time as we prepare the direct build, but App Review times mean the exact timeframe for launch is out of our hands…
Our Other Apps
The latest versions of Typed for Mac, Clear for Mac and Deep Dreamer are all ready for OS X El Capitan.
